Although northern California is battling terrible fires right now, down here in southern Cal we have unusually cool weather for August, which puts one’s mind to thinking ahead to autumn.  Generally I back away from wearing fragrance during hot weather and pick up the habit again when it cools down.  This year I’m in luck because we just got in new French perfumes (technically, EDT or eau de toilette) from Maison de la Vanille, a boutique fragrance line. Time to get cozy with warm scents based on varieties of vanilla. Each scent starts with vanilla and adds a complement of other notes to tell a different fragrance story. Vanille Noire du Mexique is powdery and elegant…Vanille Fleurie de Tahiti is fruity and fun…Vanille Divine des Tropiques is a blend of white florals.
