A small but thoughtful gift. This gift set contains three of our most popular soaps wrapped in clear cellophane with a green and red ribbon and a holiday gift card. The soap scents are: milk, agrumes (citrus) and verbena.

A French household staple that is hard to find in the US, the bath mitt (gant de toilette in French) is a clever design for the bath. Slip the mitt over your hand, add water and your favorite French soap, and it will turn into a soft and non-slippery scrubber. Launder your mitt with your other bath towels, and it will outlast nylon poufs or gloves.

Anne de Solene is known for soft, high-quality bath linens made in Europe, including these long-staple combed cotton bath mitts. We carry them in 16 beautiful colors, from a basic white to a bright poppy red. Combine with our French soaps for holiday gifts, and don’t forget to keep a few for yourself!

La Lavande French Scented Bath Soaps

La Lavande was launched in 1986 from one family’s desire to bring the finest French soaps to the United States. While teaching music in France, they were inspired by the variety and quality of scented soaps available. La Lavande provides pure vegetable hard-milled soaps following the time-honored tradition of French soap making, beneficial for all skin types, especially dry or sensitive skin. Natural and pure, these soaps contain no petroleum or animal products.

This month’s issue of Elle Decor Magazine (January/February 2014) is the International issue, republishing highlights from editions of the magazine outside the US. This issue is a lucky treat because it features both a French farmhouse in Normandy and an ultra-chic Paris apartment!

All the rooms are glamorous in gold and white, with an eclectic mix of midcentury and more traditional furnishings. My favorite details are the paper lanterns in the kitchen and the colorful pottery in the dining room, not to mention the low bookcase in the living room.

Here are some gold and white items from I Dream of France that would mix well in this chic Paris apartment:
