Sud and Co Corsica

Sud and Co Corsica

Here is a new episode in the “Sud and Co” saga! For those who do not follow the brand, the pottery from the small Provençal town of Cassis and recently sold in the USA under the name “Sud and Co” suddenly became unavailable last year, then again available early this year. Well, only three months after bringing the good news, here we are, announcing that, unfortunately, the beautiful pottery is again unavailable.

Accurate information is hard to obtain, but this is what we understand. A group of artists in Cassis have been making  pottery for some time independently. They are selling their products mostly locally. At several occasions, somebody started representing the products outside Provence under a single name, i.e., Sud and Co.

Lately, they have been part of a local “craft village” which, due to low sales, is closing. Even though the pottery part of the craft village was very successful, they cannot keep doing business under the current arrangement and have to stop selling. It looks like some of the artists want to open a traditional standalone business under which they can sell their craft.

We are, of course, going to stay in touch and will keep you posted as soon as we hear something new. The best way to keep in touch is to subscribe to our mailing list.

Any question about Sud and Co or anything else, please do not hesitate to call or email us.

Sud & Co Provence Pottery

We have some great news to start this new year… The wonderful Sud & Co Provence pottery from the small French town of Cassis is available again!
We will be adding new products to our website over the coming days and weeks. Most of the items that used to be available will become available again.
Please contact us if you would like to inquire about a specific piece, and check our website regularly for updates.

Our Sud & Co Corsica pottery is almost sold out. We only have two large round platters left of the Corsica pattern. If you are a collector of  Sud and Co Corsica, these pieces are for you! They are gigantic, measuring 19.5″ in diameter. One platter has a few minor blemishes on the underside that cannot be seen during normal usage, and is marked down accordingly. The other platter is perfect. Visit I Dream of France for more information.

Sud and Co is a small company from the Provence region of France. They have been making very traditional handpainted pottery that literally started a worldwide following. We have been asked about that brand more than any other. Unfortunately, Sud and Co has ceased operation. We are not exactly sure what happened but at the present time, Sud and Co has stopped selling their pottery. We have a few pieces left — if you haven’t seen their products before, we invite you to look at our website. If you have been thinking about purchasing some of their pottery, now is the time!

UPDATE: We do not carry Sud and Co products anymore. Please contact laurenttrade.com

Many customers have asked us about Sud and Co’s product catalog and special orders. We can order any pattern for you that Sud and Co currently makes by doing a special order. The lead time is 6-8 weeks (remember that everything is made to order and shipped from the south of France to the States) and we ask for a 50% deposit up front.

Here are two links where you can download Sud and Co’s catalog, in two parts. Please be patient. Dowloading make take a little while, depending on your internet connection, because each file is big–about 15 MB.
